Semioscopis steinkelleriana?

Just checking if this micro (both photographs) is Semioscopis steinkelleriana? It was in the box Wednesday night.

It has the black, curved streak and the inverted "L". Whole moth is about 12mm length.

If so, it is a first for me here at home. I wonder why it was attributed "stone cellar" for the second part of its name?

  1. Only similar species to Semioscopis steinkellneriana that I can see would be S.avellanella, but comparing the two side by side I’m sure that Phil is correct. Pete Bent.

    1. Thanks for the confirmation Pete. According to the county list it is the 12th record of this species.
