More warm winds from southern Europe

More warm air is crossing the country at the moment giving us all, yet again, a chance to record good migrant species. I recorded my first Gem for five years last night, a delightful little species, so keep those traps in action, you never know when it might be your lucky night!

  1. Indeed, had 25 species last night but not a single migrant!

  2. Incredibly mild at Cors Dyfi last night - temps around 15 degrees, even out on the marsh where it's usually 4 or 5 degrees cooler than up at the visitor centre. Wind blew up a hoolie from about 2am onwards and blew the rainguard off the trap! Couple of new records for the site though so worth doing.
